Chateau du Trignon Cotes du Rhone Villages Plan de Dieu 2014
Chateau du Trignon Plan de Dieu has a strong garnet color. Morello cherries, liquorice and garrigue on the nose with notes of bilberry on the palate. A complex, fleshy wine with a long finish.
Varietals: Grenache and Syrah
90 Points - Robert Parker, 2010
Bright purple. Spicy aromas of blackberry, black cardamom, violet and black pepper. Round and fleshy but energetic as well, offering pliant dark berry and licorice flavors and a hint of cracked pepper. Shows an intriguing northern Rhone character, with the warmth of a Provencal wine. Nicely concentrated, taut and focused on the clinging finish, which is firmed by dusty, harmonious tannins.
