Bernard Schoffit is a brilliant pioneer in Alsace’s greatest Grand Cru, Rangen de Thann. This Chasselas, the champion grape of Switzerland, is produced from 70 year old vines on a site of less than two acres. Less than 300 cases of this special wine is produced each year. Sustainably farmed, entirely hand-harvested, fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks.
The old age of the vines gives density and complexity to this Alsatian dry white wine that is an exceptional value.
WE: 90 points"A touch of earthiness and lemon pith play on the quiet nose. The palate is fresh in feel, with an intriguing touch of herbal bitterness. Concentrated and intense, this remains taut nonetheless."
