Hourglass's Sauvignon Blanc is one of the most versatile and crowd pleasing SB's produced in the valley, offering spectrums of flavors for all to enjoy with just the right amount of citrus and zesty acidity along with warm tropical notes and a hint of richness on the palate. 91% Sauvignon Blanc and 9% Semillon fermented in 60% stainless steel tanks and 40% French oak barrels. Vibrant aromas of lemon and lime zest, orange blossom and Granny Smith apples are followed on the palate with a layered blend of white peach, pineapple, guava, and vanilla bean. A noticeable wet stone minerality from the Larkmead fruit provides a wonderful counterbalance and vibrant tension to the pure fruit expressions from the Varozza and Gamble vineyards. A goldilocks Sauvignon Blanc that is impossible not to love.
I defy anyone who knows white Bordeaux to say this wine is not from Bordeaux. Easily the best Sauvignon Blanc I have every had outside of Graves!
