The young Justin Girardin is a producer to keep an eye on. We certainly are. The nephew of famed vigneron Vincent Girardin, Justin is already making dazzling wines, and his old vine bottling from Maranges, just east of Santenay in the Cote de Beaune, really showcases his talents.
From 50+ year old vines, this has got to rank as one of the top Red Burgundy values out there. Deep ruby in color, this offers up enticing notes of red fruits, woodsy spice, dried flowers, and mineral. High toned and fresh yet silky and fine, this is a lot of wine for the money.
