This blend is 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Cinsault and 5% Carignan An estate of 30 acres, surrounding a charming old farmhouse, at the foot of Mount Ventoux in the appellation Cotes de Ventoux .. A surprisingly elegant and well balanced wine with forward fruit and interesting spicy flavors.
The harvest is transported in gondolas filled with CO2 to keep oxygen out and keep the grapes cool. The grape varieties are de-stemmed and pre-blended. Vatting time:8 to 10 days. Vat-matured for 8 months. Surprisingly bright red fruit for a Rhone wine. It also exhibits great smoky notes.
