Wine of the Week

For those who have not discovered the wines from the Mt. Etna region of Sicily, you are in for a treat.

The grape, Nerello Mascalese, makes a medium bodied red wine grown on the slopes of Mt Etna. This hard to fine red has nice acidity and a taste profile that is often likened to fine Pinot Noir.

The Planeta Eruzione 1614 is an excellent example of the quality wine this grape can produce.

It is my wine of the week and a Wine Guy selection.
