Albert Bichot Pouilly Fuisse 2023

An elegant and beautifully balanced white Burgundy from one of the region's historic producers. Albert Bichot's 2023 Pouilly-Fuissé offers a wonderful combination of ripe Chardonnay fruit, freshness and the distinctive mineral character of southern Burgundy.

The nose is bright and expressive, with aromas of pear, white peach and citrus complemented by delicate floral notes, spice and a subtle touch of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is rounded and generous yet wonderfully fresh, balancing ripe fruit with lively acidity and a clean mineral character. A restrained touch of oak adds texture and complexity without overwhelming the fruit.

Fermentation and aging take place on the fine lees for 8–9 months, with 70% of the wine in stainless steel and 30% in oak barrels. The result is a polished Chardonnay that combines richness and freshness beautifully.

Food Pairing: Excellent with seafood, scallops, crab, grilled fish, roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes and mild cheeses.
