The Bichot Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Réserve is crafted from grapes grown in northern and southern Burgundy (the Châtillonnais, Côte Chalonnaise and Mâconnais). The variety of the grape varieties used and where they are sourced from results in balance between Chardonnay's tautness, white flower aromas and minerality and Pinot Noir's fruit and density. 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. Fine, even bubbles, it is aged on the lees for 18 months and then 6 months in the bottle.
This is as close as you will get to "real" champagne at a stupid price.
