If you usually buy Sancerre, this is one of the first wines I'd recommend. It's made just west of Sancerre by the respected Dezat family, from the same Sauvignon Blanc grape grown on similar limestone soils. It has the same citrus, mineral-driven style, but often offers outstanding value. Food & Wine recently highlighted Menetou-Salon as one of the best regions for finding "Sancerre-quality" Sauvignon Blanc without paying Sancerre prices, reinforcing exactly this positioning.
