A small-production, organically farmed Cru Beaujolais offering remarkable character, elegance, and value.

From the smallest of Beaujolais' ten crus comes this exceptional Gamay produced by Raphaël Saint-Cyr, a fourth-generation winemaker dedicated to organic farming and expressing the distinctive terroir of his vineyards. 

The 2023 Chénas “Robert” offers enticing aromas of ripe black cherries, wild berries, violets, and subtle spice. On the palate, layers of dark red fruit unfold with a beautiful balance of freshness, silky tannins, and a distinctive mineral character. Aging partly in older oak barrels adds complexity without overwhelming the purity of the Gamay fruit.

More structured and sophisticated than everyday Beaujolais, this is a wine that beautifully demonstrates why the region's finest crus deserve a place alongside the great red wines of Burgundy.

Food Pairings: Wonderful with roast chicken, duck breast, pork tenderloin, mushroom risotto, charcuterie, and aged cheeses.
