Finca Sophenia, Malbec Reserve Estate Tupungato 2021

In the shadow of the Andes Mountains, within the Uco Valley, Tupungato is a small high altitude appellation quickly building a reputation as a premium region in Mendoza.

Vinification: Manual harvest. Selection of plots differentiated according to their quality, both for yield and for their expression. They are vinified separately, to obtain different styles as "cut components", and thus achieve better complexity. Aging: 10-12 months in oak barrels, mostly French and a small proportion of American oak.

Tasting notes: Intense ruby ​​color with violet notes. On the nose, fresh red fruits stand out with a marked floral presence, perfectly harmonized with the contribution of aromas of spices, cocoa and vanilla given its time in oak, giving it complexity. The sensation in the mouth is smooth with sweet and velvety tannins and a wide mouthfeel with a long finish.
